Organization Background:
Job Summary:
The Manager, NICU administers and
coordinates planning activities of the Level I, II and III NICU and is
responsible for the recommendation, development and implementation of policies
and procedures in this area.
The Manager, NICU is
responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery and
maintains the project and operational planning aspects of NICU in
collaboration with other service areas and ensures that recruiting,
commissioning, onboarding, orientation and service activation responsibilities
are carried out in accordance with project plans and timelines and which may
extend into hospital operations.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL
- Masters in Nursing
- RN Licensure
- A minimum of 3 years experience as the nurse manager of a Level III NICU within a western academic medical center
- Experience in the planning and implementation of high risk neonatal transport.
- Current BLS, NRP Certification.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Ability to use search engines and data bases for internet research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong group presentation skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
DESIRABLE
- Familiarity with JCAHO, JCI and other accreditation organizations.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills
